CLEVELAND — Changes are coming to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport as crews begin a “restroom renovation project,” which officials say will modernize 13 restrooms in the terminal.
Updates include:
- Modern fixtures and added amenities, including an adult changing table added to the family restrooms
- Technology to gain immediate feedback on restroom conditions
- New finishes for the floors, walls, partitions and ceilings
- Improved lighting
“Aside from a better guest experience, the changes also allow the CLE custodial staff to clean more efficiently with easier surfaces and fixtures to attend to,” according to a press release from Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
Restrooms in the renovation project include the set across from the north checkpoint, the set in the food court and all restrooms on Concourse C.
“The project will begin with the set across from the north checkpoint,” according to the airport’s press release. “One set of restrooms will be shut down at a time during the renovations, which are expected to last approximately 90 days per section.”
The project is expected to last until the spring of 2025.
“Ozanne Construction Company was awarded the $2.74 million contract to perform the work through a bidding process,” according to CLE.
