CLEVELAND — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a previous story.
The first major sporting event in Downtown Cleveland is approaching sooner than later.
The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission is hosting the Junior Volleyball Association’s Rock ‘N Rumble presented by Nike on January 15 and 16 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. The two-day tournament is set to bring more than 350 girls volleyball teams to the area from all over the country.
Aside from the thousands of athletes and coaches that will be there, it is estimated that roughly 7,000 spectators will be in attendance. The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission estimates that this event is going to provide an estimated $3.1 million in economic impact for Northeast Ohio.
Tickets to the event for spectators are available now online and range from $7 to $15. A schedule for the tournament can be found here. The event will also be broadcast live on FloVolleyball.tv or on the FloSports app.
