Nearly $20 million in funding to be announced in Cleveland with low or no-cost internet for 25,000 households

CLEVELAND — Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted is in Cleveland today “to announce nearly $20 million in funding that will provide low or no-cost high-speed internet to roughly 25,000 households.”

Lt. Gov. Husted will officially make the announcement during a 1 p.m. press conference at the Brooklyn branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library on Ridge Road.

Those joining Lt. Gov. Husted at the press conference include the following people:

  • Armond Budish, Cuyahoga County Executive
  • Katie Gallagher, Mayor of Brooklyn
  • Pernel Jones, Jr., Cuyahoga County Council President
  • Marty Sweeney, Cuyahoga County Councilman
  • Casey Sorensen, CEO, PCs for People
  • Vikki Robinson, Microsoft AirBand Manager
