CLEVELAND — One week after the fatal shooting that killed four on Mack Court in Cleveland, a Cuyahoga County grand jury has formally indicted 41-year-old Martin Muniz.
Muniz is being charged after allegedly killing four people and injuring an 8-year-old girl on Friday, Jan. 13.
“Words fall short in describing the barbaric actions committed by this individual,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “This heartless crime has impacted the community and my thoughts and prayers remain with the family and for the 8-year-old’s recovery.”
Muniz is being charged with the following:
- Four counts of Aggravated Murder
- Two counts of Attempted Murder
- Eight counts of Murder
- Ten counts of Felonious Assault
- One count of Having Weapons Under Disability
Cleveland Police say on Friday, Jan. 13, at around 8 p.m., Muniz reportedly flagged down officers to tell them five people had been shot.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the four individuals as 69-year-old Miguel Gonzalez, 48-year-old Anthony Boothe, 34-year-old Angelic Gonzalez and her son, 16-year-old Jayden Baez.

While three were pronounced dead at the scene, Boothe was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later died. Boothe's daughter, an 8-year-old girl, was in stable condition earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Muniz made his first court appearance, where a judge set a $5 million bond.
According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, Muniz will be arraigned at a future date.
