CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a hit-and-run and arrest that injured three officers on Tuesday.
The incident took place on the city's west side near West 56th Street and Memphis Avenue around 2:30 p.m.
According to reports, the manager of the McDonald's located in the 5600 block of Memphis Avenue flagged officers down, reporting an unconscious man in a car. As officers and EMS approached the vehicle, the man woke up, put the car in gear and began driving forward and then in reverse.
Officers order the man to stop, but as he fled the scene, two officers were injured by the car in the process. Both were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in stable condition. The officers were identified as a 25-year-old woman and 25-year-old man.

The suspect was later arrested near West 66th Street and Denison Avenue. During the arrest, a third officer sustained injuries. Additionally, firearms were recovered in front of the suspect's car.
