CLEVELAND — Ouch! You can tell it's a busy day in downtown Cleveland because parking prices were causing a bit of sticker shock early Monday morning.
We spotted prices at two Cleveland locations with parking listed at $80 and $70 before 9:30 a.m. -- which is hours before the city experiences the widely anticipated solar eclipse and 2024 Cleveland Guardians home opener.
We also saw a sign for $100 parking for RVs and trailers at the North Coast Harbor parking lot near Cleveland Browns Stadium.
We posted photos of these parking prices on our Facebook page, which quickly brought a flood of comments.
"Greed at its finest," one person commented.
"What a ripoff!" another wrote.
If you're looking for parking in downtown Cleveland, you can search for spots using ParkMobile.
GasBuddy also reported earlier Monday morning that gas prices have surged in Northeast Ohio with the average now standing higher than $3.50 per gallon in Akron and Cleveland.
