CLEVELAND — “Your memory lives everywhere, Kobe.”
That was the message from the Cleveland Cavaliers early Monday morning as tributes continue pouring in worldwide to the news that Kobe Bryant had passed away.
As the sun sank in Cleveland Sunday night, the Terminal Tower was washed in lights of purple and gold – Lakers' colors – in honor of Kobe Bryant.
“That’s why I love this city,” one person tweeted in response to the Terminal Tower’s tribute to Kobe.
Another wrote: “First class city.”
Bryant was among nine people who died in a helicopter crash Sunday. His 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, was also among those killed.
The Cleveland Browns also tweeted about Bryant's death.
"Tonight we mourn the loss of a legend in Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. Our players were touched, inspired and appreciative of the wisdom he shared with us in Dec. of 2018. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to the victims of today's tragedy and their families."
