City of Cleveland plow truck involved in fatal crash

The identities of those involved have not yet been released.

CLEVELAND — *Editor's Note: The video in the player above is from previous report. 

The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a fatal crash involving a city snow plow.

According to reports, a 2016 Western Star truck was heading north on Lee Road removing snow with it's plow blade down and forward lights including amber flashing beacons around 6:22 a.m. 

At the same time a 2012 Subaru was heading south on Lee Road and began turning into the driveway to McDonald's, located at 4159 Lee Road.

While making the left turn, the Subaru entered the northbound lanes and was struck by the snow plow. 

Officials say the driver of the snow plow made efforts to swerve and avoid the car, but was unsuccessful. 

The details surrounding the crash remain limited. However, police have confirmed that the crash was fatal. 

The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
