Cleveland police: 1 dead, 1 injured following shooting in Clark-Fulton

The incident occurred near the intersection of West 44th Street and Hyde Avenue. The identities of those involved are not yet known.

CLEVELAND — One person is dead and another was injured in a shooting in Cleveland's Clark-Fulton neighborhood Friday afternoon, 3News has confirmed.

Police say the incident occurred near the intersection of West 44th Street and Hyde Avenue. The identities of those involved are not yet known, but the injured victim was taken to an area hospital, per officials.

In addition, Cleveland EMS says a 37-year-old man was taken by ambulance in stable condition following an incident on West 44th near I-90 in the Detroit-Shoreway area. WKYC has not confirmed if this is related to the shooting in Clark-Fulton.

A large law enforcement presence was in the area. No arrests have been announced at this time.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 52-year-old Leonardo Rodriguez of Cleveland.
