CLEVELAND — A man is dead and another is injured following a shooting on Saturday morning, according to Cleveland police.
The incident happened in the 1000 block of East 71st Street at approximately 2:50 a.m.
Police responded to the area after they received calls of a large fight that broke out in the area. Before arriving, they received an update that two people had been shot.
When the officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a nearby hospital by EMS.
The 22-year-old was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The status of the other victim is unknown at this time.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Anthony Williams of East Cleveland.
