CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police have arrested three suspects in connection to the shooting death of 9-year-old Saniyah Nicholson.
Police say two 17-year-olds and 19-year-old Devontae Nettles were arrested for their involvement in the shootout that killed Nicholson.
Nettles and one of the 17-year-olds were inside a car as they exchanged gunfire with another group of males who were on foot. The other 17-year-old was part of the group on foot.
One of the 17-year-olds is charged with two counts of murder, according to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court records.
Cleveland police say they are actively seeking a warrant on a 16-year-old boy who was also on foot.
There is no confirmed gang affiliations among the suspects, according to police.
Nicholson was caught in gunfire Wednesday night as she sat in her mother's car outside DNA Boxing Club at Lee Road and Cloverside Avenue. Her mother went inside the gym to pick up Nicholson's brother.

When the groups began shooting at each other across the road, Nicholson was shot in the head and killed.
Police earlier this week released surveillance images of two potential suspects, offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the capture and conviction of those involved.
