A pony named 'French Fry' will soon be returning to his owner thanks to some help from the Cleveland Division of Police's Mounted Unit.
Police officials tell 3News that on Thursday, French Fry was giving pony rides to children at Kerruish Park on the city's east side. Dirt bike and quad riders moving into the area scared the pony.
French Fry’s bridle broke and he took off. He became lost in the woods near the park and was wandering around through the night.
Mounted officers say that in addition to a pony being in the woods overnight, there was also a coyote prowling around. French Fry was fortunate that he was able to avoid being attacked.
On Friday morning, mounted police heard French Fry crying and were able to find him in the woods. He has since been reunited with his owners.
