Cleveland police investigating death of woman found in 'decomposed state'

The woman has not yet been identified.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is investigating the death of a woman in her 50's, Monday evening. 

According to police, the woman who has not yet been identified, was found by her son in a decomposed state. She was found inside her home in the 2400 block of Morris Black Place around 1 p.m. 

The woman's son says he went to check on her after not seeing her. 

Members of Cleveland homicide unit and the Cuyahoga County medical examiner responded to the scene.
