Cleveland Police: Man shoots woman, dog, then himself at home

The 28-year-old man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Police are investigating after a 21-year-old woman was shot, and a 28-year-old man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Saturday night.

The incident happened at around 10 p.m. at 6405 Gertrude Avenue. 

The 28-year-old man allegedly shot the 21-year-old woman in the chin/neck, before shooting a dog. 

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office identified the 28-year-old man as Jesse Kesman, who was pronounced dead on the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The woman's condition and the dog's condition are unknown. 

At this time, no other details have been released. 3News will continue to update this story as we learn more.
