CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating the fatal shooting of a man outside an east side deli on Thursday.
Officers were called to the area of Saint Clair Avenue and East 103rd Street at approximately 11:20 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a 29-year-old man shot in the chest. He was taken by EMS to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.
In its preliminary investigation, Cleveland police believe that the victim was at AJ's Deli and Drive Thru and had an argument with the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Police have identified a person of interest, but so far no arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.
