CLEVELAND — Police are investigating after a bicyclist was badly injured in an alleged hit-skip crash on Cleveland's west side last Thursday night.
Officials say the victim was riding his bike in the curb lane of Warren Road just north of Triskett Road when he was struck from behind by a car. The vehicle then sped off northbound, leaving the man lying in the snow.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. While his injuries were described as "very serious," his exact condition is not known at this time.
Authorities obtained footage from a Nest doorbell camera affixed to a Warren Road home on the edge of the Kamm's Corner's neighborhood. While the video is somewhat grainy, it depicts the collision itself and briefly shows the suspect vehicle.
