Cleveland police seek suspects who allegedly robbed 77-year-old man of lottery winnings

The pair allegedly followed the victim as he walked him and robbed him at gunpoint before assaulting him.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are asking for the public's help finding two suspects who allegedly robbed a 77-year-old man of his lottery winnings almost three weeks ago.

According to authorities, the victim went to a local convenience store to collect cash from his winning lottery ticket on the afternoon of March 3, and two other men followed him out as he walked home. Around 3:20 p.m., the pair pulled a gun on the elderly male near East 128th Street and Eddy Road before assaulting him and stealing the money.

The identities of the suspects are unknown at this time, but officials have released surveillance photos from the store of the men believed to be the perpetrators. Anyone with information regarding their names or whereabouts is asked to immediately call the Cleveland Division of Police at (216) 623-5518.
