CLEVELAND — Are you in need of a car?

The Cleveland Division of Police will be auctioning off more than two dozen vehicles this weekend “that have been abandoned or forfeited” to the city.

The auction, which is open to the public, is set for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Cleveland police impound lot #2, which is located at 4300 Bradley Road. The lot will open one hour early, however, to allow potential buyers the opportunity to view vehicles in advance starting at 8 a.m

The auction will include approximately 30 vehicles.

Here are some important notes to know before the auction:

  • All sales are final
  • None of the vehicles come with a warranty or guarantee
  • There is a required 10 percent cash only down payment for the winning bidder. The remaining balance is due by April 14

Cleveland police say money generated from the sale will go to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF), which “is used to purchase items and to fund investigations in furtherance of law enforcement.”

Anybody with additional questions can call the Cleveland Division of Police Vehicle Custodial Unit at 216-623-5342.
