Tax filing season is in full swing and the Cleveland Public Library is offering help to those in need.
On Wednesday, officials with CPL announced that free tax assistance sessions will be held at three branches in the area ahead of the tax filing deadline, which is April 18.
"We’re offering free tax preparation services through our partners, Cuyahoga EITC Coalition and AARP. Trained volunteers will assist with federal and state tax returns," CPL officials said in a release on Wednesday.
The sessions will be held at the Carnegie West, Rockport and Fleet Avenue locations throughout February, March and April. Participants must bring their tax documents, an ID and their tax return from the previous year and registration is required.

Carnegie West:
- Feb. 16 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- March 2 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- March 16 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
