CLEVELAND — Customers of Cleveland Public Power will soon be paying more on their electric bill due to a rate increase that begins in 2025.
It comes after Cleveland City Council approved legislation Monday “that will increase the price of electricity” for customers of Cleveland Public Power.
So how much more will you be paying?
“The average CPP customer uses about 500 kWh each month and the increase would amount to a $4.85 increase a month in 2025 and an additional $3.45 in 2026,” according to a press release from Cleveland City Council. “CPP has not had a rate increase since 1983.”
Cleveland City Council says CPP provides service to 73,000 customers.
