25-year-old man fatally shot outside of Little Eagle Food Market in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a shooting that killed one person outside of Little Eagle Food Market on Tuesday night.

The shooting happened at around 8 p.m. at 3111 East 93rd Street in Cleveland. 

Upon arrival, Cleveland Police found multiple shell casings in the market's parking lot. Officers became aware that the victim who had been shot in the parking lot was taken to University Hospitals privately.

The victim who died at the hospital has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office as 25-year-old Robert Mason of Cleveland.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, initial investigations show that the victim was with a group of people and was speaking with another group of individuals who were in a vehicle in the parking lot of the market. 

When the vehicle drove away, shots were allegedly fired at the victim, striking the individual in the abdomen. Members of the victim's group also fired shots toward the vehicle that was leaving.

The Real Time Crime Center and Homicide Unit are conducting an ongoing investigation.
