CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after two people were shot overnight in the 800 block of Rondel Road -- and one of the victims has died from his injuries.
Police tell 3News that preliminary information shows it was around 11 p.m. Tuesday when officers received a call for a male shot.
Upon their arrival, officers found one victim --a 17-year-old boy -- who was unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, but later died.
He has since been identified as Christian Vivian of Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
While on the scene, police say they learned of a 16-year-old boy who was also shot. He was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.
"Our homicide unit is actively investigating," according to Cleveland police. "This is information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation evolves."
