Many events around the world have had to postpone or cancel due to COVID-19, but the Cleveland Tree Coalition has created a new and interactive way to celebrate the week leading up to Arbor Day, which takes place this Friday, April 24.
Arbor Day is a national holiday where individuals are encouraged to plant trees and increase public knowledge on the importance of trees to the sustainability of life.
This is the fourth year that the group has arranged events around Cleveland, but the first year that all of them will be online.
Along with the help of organizations like the Cleveland Metroparks, Cleveland Public Library, and Holden Forests & Gardens, the group will perform various tree-related activities throughout the week, and encourage the public to join in.
Those who would like to follow along can visit the Cleveland Tree Coalition’s Facebook for more information, and follow along on Twitter with #ArborDayCLE.
