Did you know Cleveland has a quidditch team?
Yes, quidditch. The sport made famous by Harry Potter.
Major League Quidditch is a real thing and Cleveland has its own, real team.
The Cleveland Riff will head to Texas this weekend to compete in the 2016 Major League Quidditch Championship with 13 other teams from the U.S. and Canada.
The MLQ runs during the summer months and first began in 2015. Last year, the Riff reached the semifinals.
Of course, the players aren't flying on broomsticks through the air, but the rules of MLQ come directly from J.K. Rowling's books.
Cleveland's team includes players from collegiate quidditch clubs, including Bowling Green State and Ohio State universities.
