CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Department of Health released new data regarding the impact of the coroanvirus in the city, Thursday evening.
According to the Department, there are 1,070 confirmed coroanavirus cases and 41 fatalities among Cleveland residents. The most recent number indicates a 24-case jump from Wednesday numbers, with no new fatalities.
The most recently diagnosed residents include both men and women ranging in age from under 20 to their 80's. The Department is working to contact those who may have been in close contact with those recently diagnosed.
As of Thursday at 2 p.m., the Ohio Department of Health reports more than 26,000 confirmed and probable cases, 4,718 hospitalization with 1.534 deaths across the state.
On Thursday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted made a flurry of announcements regarding the reopening of certain businesses and services in the state. In each case, there are specific guidelines and protocols laid out by the state.
