Flags for Honor celebration of local heroes to take place in Edgewater Park over Flag Day Weekend

The celebration is presented by FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

CLEVELAND — Flag Day Weekend from June 12-14 will see a special celebration this year as the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICLECAAA) presents Flags for Honor to celebrate local heroes.

The free, patriotic event is celebrating honorees from COVID-19 first responders, to veterans, teachers and coaches.

The American flags will line Edgewater Park along the walk to the pavilion, clearly visible for drive-by viewing on Route 2. The event will be open to the public, as well as live streamed on the FBICLECAAA's Facebook page.

You can dedicate a flag to a special hero in your life by visiting flagsforhonor.org. 50% of all proceeds will be split equally between MedWish and Medworks, who support local communities on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A year-round display of flags can also be found on Flags for Honor's Virtual Flag Dedication area of their website.
