Walnut Wednesdays food truck event returning to downtown Cleveland

The events are set to return to downtown Cleveland on May 1.

CLEVELAND — As warm weather begins to move into Northeast Ohio, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance has announced plans for its annual spring and summer events -- including the weekly popular food truck gathering known as Walnut Wednesdays.

This year features the return of recreational leagues, food trucks and live music. DCA is also debuting Live Downtown Cleveland Tours and Bright Nights of Summer.

Here is a full list of all the events Downtown Cleveland Alliance has for the spring and summer:

Food truck events 

Memorial Mondays 

  • Every Monday from May to September, food trucks and music will be placed in Fort Huntington Park between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. 

Walnut Wednesdays 

  • The popular food truck event at Perk Plaza is set to return to downtown Cleveland every Wednesday from May to September. The food-filled event, which features local musicians, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

Recreational Leagues

Lakefront leagues 

  • DCA has teamed up with Hermes for a volleyball and kickball league at the North Coast Harbor. Teams can register HERE by April 21. 

Downtown Fun 

Bright Nights of Summer 

  • Every second Saturday of the month, the DCA will host games, live music and local beer at a new spot each month.

Live #DTCLE Tours 

  • The Guided Downtown Cleveland Experience Tours will give participants an inside look at life downtown by stopping at multiple residential buildings. They will experience the amenities, conveniences, food and beverages that downtown Cleveland residents already enjoy.
