CLEVELAND — Thursday was a violent day across Cleveland.
According to the Cleveland Division of Police, four men have died following four separate violent incidents.

Thursday, Sept. 8,5:45 a.m.
Cleveland Police officers responded to West 41st Street and Clark Avenue early Thursday morning after a vehicle crashed into a pole. According to EMS officials, the 31-year-old driver had sustained a gunshot wound to his body and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.
According to passers, two unidentified males fled from the vehicle on foot after the car crashed. No arrests have been made in connection.
Thursday, Sept. 8, 11:13 a.m.
Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority officers responded to East 59th Street for a dead body found inside an apartment. According to the Cleveland Division of Police, preliminary investigations reveal the victim was found by apartment maintenance. They believe the 57-year-old victim may have been beaten days prior to being found. At this time, no arrests have been made.
Thursday, Sept. 8, 6:01 p.m.
A 37-year-old man died after sustaining eight gunshot wounds to his body. Cleveland Police officers responded to East 28th and Cedar Avenue after reports of shots being fired. Upon arriving at the scene, the victim was found on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS, where he died. According to preliminary investigations, the victim parked his vehicle and walked towards the courtyard of the apartments before he was shot. At this time, no arrests have been made.
Thursday, Sept. 8, 7:20 p.m.
Cleveland Police officers heard shots fired near Bump Taylor Field. Upon arriving at the 11900 block of Durant Avenue, officers discovered a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. EMS transported the victim to University Hospitals, where he later died. Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was on a porch with multiple people when a black sedan fired shots at the group. At this time, no arrests have been made.
