CLEVELAND — Maybe it's not the most wonderful time of the year, but it's close.
Great Lakes Brewing Company is celebrating Christmas in July with a brewpub celebration on Thursday in Ohio City.
The world-famous Christmas Ale was tapped in the morning and you can get a pint of the holiday classic throughout the day, along with jolly July food specials. If you are going over GLBC, make sure you dress in your holiday best.
Seating for Thursday will be available on a first come, first served basis with no reservations available. A 3-hour time limit will be in place for all tables. Standing room will be available in GLBC's beer garden and patio.
GLBC's Christmas in July event at its Ohio City brewpub coincides with the Cleveland Indians serving Christmas Ale during Thursday night's game with the Tampa Bay Rays. Christmas Ale will available on tap throughout Progressive Field in the GLBC Beer Garden and select Great Lakes draft locations. Fans will also be able to purchase a stadium-exclusive commemorative cup and are encouraged to dress up in their holiday best when they come to the ballpark.
Great Lakes Brewing Company is offering shuttle rides from Ohio City to Progressive Field beginning at 6 p.m. so you can continue to have a holly jolly night. Round-trip shuttle rides are free with the purchase of any brewpub or gift shop item.
If you are staying at the brewpub, Taylor Lamborn Duo will perform a mix of holiday and summer tunes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the patio at GLBC.
This is a draft only event -- no bottles or cans of Christmas Ale will be available in the gift shop.
