Greater Cleveland Food Bank to host drive-thru food distribution in city's Muni Lot

The event will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday January 12. The food bank asks that you follow specific instructions to be eligible for food pickup.

CLEVELAND — A drive-thru food distribution event is being held by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on Thursday, January 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will take place at the popular Cleveland Browns tailgate spot, the Muni Lot at 1503 South Marginal Road.

The food bank is asking anyone that plans on attending the event to follow these steps to make sure they are eligible to receive food:

  • Pre-registration is required at WeFeedCLE.org
  • You must be in a vehicle to receive food - No exceptions
  • To ensure the safety of the community and staff, you are required to clear the trunk of your vehicle before coming to the distribution
  • if inclement weather occurs, check GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org or media outlets for cancellation info.

The food bank has also provided directions on how to get to the distribution depending on what direction you are coming from:

  • FROM EAST (Rte. 2 or I-90 West): Follow Rte. 2, use S. Marginal Exit #196 to enter the Muni Lot.
  • FROM SOUTH (I-71 and I-90 East): Take East 55th Exit 175, turn right and then take immediate right onto S Marginal.
  • ALL OTHER TRAFFIC: Start at E. 55 and S. Marginal. Travel west on S. Marginal to the Muni Lot.
