CLEVELAND -- Will Cleveland ever get its own IKEA store?
Officials with the company say yes...
Eventually.
“We recognize that long-term, Cleveland can for sure support a store,” IKEA’s Joseph Roth tells WKYC. “We’ve been looking there for almost 12 years for a location, we just haven’t found it yet.”
IKEA had been eyeing land just outside of Cleveland off I-480 in Brooklyn. Last year, the company announced the plan wouldn’t work out.
Roth advises that the Cleveland area has not been forgotten.
“We’ll get there one of these days.”
IKEA opened its second Ohio store Wednesday just off I-71 in Columbus. The other Ohio location is in Cincinnati.
Guests shopping at the Columbus IKEA can have their entire order shipped to the Cleveland area for a $59 flat rate.
