Jury selection starts for accused serial killer Michael Madison

38-year-old Michael Madison could face the death penalty if convicted on capital murder charges.

CLEVELAND -- Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday for the aggravated murder trial of a northeast Ohio man accused of killing three women and wrapping their bodies in garbage bags.

38-year-old Michael Madison could face the death penalty if convicted on capital murder charges.

He was arrested in July 2013 shortly after the bodies of the three women were found in locations near the East Cleveland apartment building where Madison lived.

Jury selection is expected to continue into next week. Cuyahoga County prosecutors say they plan to call more than 50 witnesses during trial and their case could take several weeks to present.

Madison's lead attorney declined to discuss details about Madison's defense.

The three victims were 38-year-old Angela Deskins, 28-year-old Shetisha Sheeley and 18-year-old Shirellda Terry.
