CLEVELAND — The search for 15-year-old Keshaun Williams, of Cleveland, is getting a boost of law enforcement and money from federal officials.
On Monday, the nonprofit Cleveland Missing announced that the U.S. Marshals Service has provided an extra $2,500 in reward money for information on Williams' whereabouts, raising the total available reward to $12,500. In addition, the feds are now assisting the Cleveland Division of Police in the search for the missing teen.
Back on June 17, Williams had called his mother to let her know he was on his way home, but he never showed up. He has not been seen since, and the still-active Amber Alert out for him is now the longest running Amber Alert ever recorded in our area.
"It's difficult, especially when it's a juvenile," Cleveland Police Sergeant Wilfredo Diaz told 3News last month. "In this particular case, we're all invested in this. From the chief down, we're all concerned about this, and we're working as hard as we can.
Anyone with information regarding Williams' location is asked to immediately call Cleveland Police at (216) 623-5400.
