CLEVELAND — After postponing her "Celebration Tour" following a "serious bacterial infection," Madonna has announced her rescheduled North American dates -- including a stop in Cleveland.
Originally scheduled for August 2, 2023, Madonna's concert at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will now take place on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored for the new one with tickets also available for purchase at rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com.
Originally announced this past January, the Celebration Tour was scheduled to include 37 worldwide dates. The tour, however, was ultimately postponed in late June after the 64-year-old singer was hospitalized for several days with an unspecified infection.
"I have felt your love," Madonna wrote on Instagram on July 10. "I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life."
The pop star originally announced her upcoming tour with a viral video paying homage to her groundbreaking 1991 documentary "Truth or Dare." The video announcement featured cameos from celebrities such as Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter and Eric Andre and ends with comedian Amy Schumer daring Madonna to go on tour and perform her four decades of hits.
Madonna's February 2024 show at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will mark the seven-time Grammy winner's first show in Cleveland since 2012.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna said in a statement announcing the tour, which promises to take fans "on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began."
