CLEVELAND — For the first time in more than a decade, "The Queen of Pop" will be hosting a concert in Cleveland.
On Tuesday, Madonna announced her latest tour -- dubbed "Madonna: The Celebration Tour" -- which includes 37 dates worldwide beginning this July and lasting until December. Included in the tour is an Aug. 2 stop at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, which will mark the seven-time Grammy winner's first show in Cleveland since 2012.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna said in a statement announcing the tour, which will take fans "on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began."
The 64-year-old music icon announced her latest tour with a viral video paying homage to her groundbreaking 1991 documentary "Truth or Dare." Tuesday's video announcement featured cameos from celebrities such as Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter and Eric Andre and ends with comedian Amy Schumer daring Madonna to go on tour and perform her four decades of hits.
Joining Madonna on the tour will be special guest Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue. Tickets for the Aug. 2 show in Cleveland will go on sale on Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. at RocketMortgageFieldHouse.com.
A presale will also be held for Citi cardmembers beginning Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. through Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. Additional details regarding the presale can be found at www.citientertainment.com.
