Woman found safe after boyfriend alleges abducted from Cleveland gas station

A woman has been found safe and unharmed after her boyfriend alleged that she had been abducted, Cleveland Police firm. 

27-year-old Demetri Burris flagged down Cleveland Police just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning near Woodhill Road and Woodland Avenue to report that his girlfriend,Christine McKeever,24, has been abducted. 

According to the police report, the two were leaving BAR CLE located at 13560 Lorain Avenue when a verbal altercation ensued. Burris states that he got in his truck and McKeever, walked toward the Speedy Gas station near West 140th around 1:30 a.m.

Watching McKeever from his rear-view mirror, Burris claims he saw a truck pull up to next to her and saw someone talking to her through the passenger window. 

Burris says McKeever began to wave her arms above her head looking towards him. At that time, he says a male got out of the car, grabbed McKeever and threw her into the car. 

The car sped away and Burris told police he was going to chase it but lost sight of the car by the time he got his vehicle started. 

He was unable to provide police with a make and model of the vehicle.

Burris says he went home to check if McKeever was there and was unable to find her. That's when the report indicates he flagged down police.  

The incident remains under investigation.
