CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department is working to locate a missing 13-year-old girl.
Sophie Rains was reported missing early Monday morning when her mother awoke to the smell of lighter fluid and realized her daughter was gone.
When checking the Maple Street residence, the police report indicates that lighter fluid was found spilled down the hallway and into a bedroom where the bottle was found on the floor.
The teen is new to the area and doesn’t have any friends nearby, according to the police report.
Sophie is described as 5’7” tall and 100 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown/purple hair. She was last seen wearing a green camouflage hoodie, red and black basketball shorts and Betty Boop flip-flips. She was also wearing a pink choker.
Sophie is listed as "endangered" on the police report.
