Cleveland police investigating multiple shootings: Timeline of incidents

Four separate shootings happened within a 24-hour period.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after four separate shootings happened throughout the city during a 24-hour period between Thursday and Friday morning.

Below is a detailed timeline of the shootings that happened in Cleveland. 

April 20, 7:45 p.m. - 10831 Grantwood Avenue 

Cleveland police say it was around 7:45 p.m. when they responded to 10835 Grantwood for a Shotspotter alert. While officers were on their way, they received a call for a man shot at 10831 Grantwood Avenue. 

Upon arriving at the scene, a 37-year-old man was located in the driveway with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to University Hospitals where he was pronounced dead.

Cleveland police say preliminary information indicates the victim and suspect are cousins, and that both fired weapons during the incident. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.

April 20, 8:19 p.m. - 10100 Olivet Avenue 

A male, who was attempting to buy a vehicle, got into a shootout with a suspect according to Cleveland police. The 20-year-old suspect was taken to the University Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and stomach. Two individuals were arrested in connection to the shooting. 

April 20, 9:15 p.m. - Wade Park 

A male arrived via private auto to University Hospitals with a gunshot wound to his upper arm following a shooting that allegedly happened on Wade Park. 

April 21, 12:34 a.m. - Possibly in the Flats

A 47-year-old man arrived at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital on West 25th Street with a gunshot wound to the left thigh. Cleveland police say that the shooting possibly occurred someplace in the Flats, but it is unknown exactly where.
