CLEVELAND — O.A.R. is in Cleveland on Friday.
But before the rock band full of Ohio State alumni takes over the Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, two of its members -- Jerry DePizzo and Benj Gershman -- stopped by 3News' GO! to chat with their friend, Austin Love, and provide meteorologist Hollie Strano with some help on her forecast.
"Cleveland was one of the very first spots as a band where we had the opportunity to go," DePizzo, a native of Youngstown, recalled. "We played Peabody's and then we would play The Agora. Tonight, we're at Nautica. We've played Nautica a ton of times throughout our career and it really is a magical, special place to see a concert. It's going to be a packed house tonight as it always is and Cleveland always shows up and represents well for O.A.R.
"Cleveland is one of the very first places that embraced O.A.R. and supported us and through that we were able to go out throughout the country, dot all the I's and cross the T's and be able to be sitting here with you."
After chatting with Austin, Jerry and Benj joined Hollie for a special forecast. The good news -- it's shaping up to a be beautiful day in Cleveland, with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures, which should only help add to the atmosphere of tonight's show, which is set to start at 6 p.m.
