CLEVELAND — An investigation is underway after an off-duty Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a shooting in Cleveland.
Cuyahoga County officials tell 3News that on Saturday night, an off-duty deputy, who was working a secondary job, was involved in a "use of deadly force incident" at the Steelyard Commons in Cleveland.
Cleveland police say that there are no known injuries and that the individual involved left in a vehicle.
3News was on the scene and saw a heavy police presence and at least one shell casing on the ground outside of Walmart located at 3400 Steelyard Drive.
At this time, the Cleveland Division of Police's Force Investigation Team is investigating the incident. In addition, Cleveland police are working to identify and locate suspects.
The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department says that they will "cooperate fully with the Cleveland Division of Police during the course of the investigation."
