CLEVELAND — The Ohio Aerospace Institute in Cleveland has been awarded with a $17.5 million contract “for aeroscience collaborative research and development,” according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
“This contract provides for research and development projects applicable to vehicle aerodynamics across all speed regimes,” the Department of Defense announced in a press release Tuesday.
The work will be performed in Cleveland, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 13, 2032.
“This contract was a competitive acquisition and three offers were received,” officials continued. “Fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $303,032 are being obligated at time of award.”
The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
