Post Malone concert in Cleveland still happening on Tuesday despite Boston cancellation

Post Malone's concert in Cleveland is still scheduled to occur on Tuesday despite the rapper canceling his show in Boston on Saturday.

CLEVELAND — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a previous story.

After Post Malone canceled his concert in Boston on Saturday due to a "stabbing pain" he felt while breathing, many in Cleveland were left wondering whether the rapper would be able to perform at his show on Tuesday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

On Tuesday, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse officials confirmed to 3News that the show -- which marks the next scheduled date on Malone's "Twelve Carat Tour" following Saturday's canceled date in Boston -- will go on as planned.

Malone's cancellation in Boston came one week after he suffered a fall on stage during a show in St. Louis. The "White Iverson" rapper was forced to cut the show short and was treated for bruised ribs at a nearby hospital as a result of the fall, which occurred when he tripped on a hole in the stage that was designed to allow him to catch guitars during an acoustic portion of the concert.

While Malone returned to touring later in the week -- including a stop in Columbus, Ohio, where he pointed his middle finger at the stage in a nod to his fall days earlier -- he took to social media on Saturday to announce that he would be canceling his show in Boston after suffering from intense pain.

“Boston, I love y’all so f---ing much,” Malone -- whose real name is Austin Post -- wrote. "On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sounds on the right side of my body. I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”

Malone added that he would reschedule the show in Boston, which was scheduled to take place at TD Garden.

Tuesday's show in Cleveland is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
