Rent temporarily suspended for tenants at the West Side Market amid coronavirus outbreak

The rent suspension comes as a way to help those who are facing financial hardships and burdens due to the onset of the pandemic.

CLEVELAND — The coronavirus pandemic is severely impacting small businesses across the nation. However, on Tuesday tenants at Cleveland's West Side Market were granted a sign of relief.

The City of Cleveland announced that it would suspend the rent of tenants at the shopping center for the months of April, May and June.

The rent suspension comes as a way to help those who are facing financial hardships and burdens due to the onset of the pandemic.

The West Side Market is also set to implement new social distancing guidelines. Entrances and exit-ways will be limited, but clearly marked by signs, according to city officials.
