CLEVELAND — Officials with the Cleveland Division of Fire confirm at least one gunshot was fired into one of the department's fire stations late Monday afternoon.
Lieutenant Mike Norman says the incident occurred around 5 p.m., when on-duty members of Fire Station No. 22 on St. Clair Avenue say they heard "several" shots. One bullet apparently went through a wooden window will in the EMS room and struck a television set before hitting an air duct and coming to a rest back on the window.
No one was injured in the shooting, and EMS workers were out on a call and not in the building at the time. While employees believe multiple shots were fired, crews only managed to discover one bullet.
No arrests have been made at this time. The matter remains under investigation.
