CLEVELAND — A piece of luggage at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport was flagged as suspicious during the TSA baggage screening process Friday, prompting an investigation that the airport said could lead to minor delays for travelers.
According to a Hopkins spokesperson, the airport's bomb squad was notified and responded. The bomb squad's investigation revealed the luggage was not a threat.
Security screening was temporarily stopped and the area was evacuated during the investigation progress, causing delays.
Hopkins says travelers can expect "minor" delays while the airport resumes normal operations.
