CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Fire is investigating after a house fire broke out Monday afternoon on Jefferson Avenue in Tremont.
According to officials, firefighters were called out to the house in the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue around 3:40 p.m. and as of 4:55 p.m., crews are still working to extinguish the blaze.
Authorities tell 3News that additional engines were also called in to the scene to assist.
Lt. Michael Norman with Cleveland Fire tells 3News that at least one person was taken to MetroHealth Cleveland for smoke inhalation. The current status of the victim is unknown at this time.

At this time, officials have not determined a cause for the fire.
