CLEVELAND -- In the latest in a series of thefts or attempted thefts of ATM machines, a pick-up truck smashed into Dave's Supermarket at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Dave's is located at 2700 Carroll Avenue.
Cleveland Police say officers responded to the address for a vehicle "in the store." Upon arrival, they located a GMC truck through the entrance of the market.
Officers searched the store for a suspect with negative results. Police say the reporting person, Jerry Roush Jr. reports that, while stocking the shelves, he heard a loud "boom" and saw the truck through the store.
He then ran out of the store for safety and did not see the driver.
Police determined the truck had been stolen and the ATM was taken from the store.
