UPDATE | Escaped Cleveland fugitive captured

U.S. Marshals have captured a fugitive who escaped custody earlier this week.

CLEVELAND — U.S. Marshals, working alongside the Cleveland Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, have captured fugitive Donald Gunderman on Friday.

Gunderman was arrested in the 3900 block of East 75th Street in Cleveland. He was found hiding in an upstairs bedroom. The 33-year-old has been transported to the Cuyahoga County Jail.

Earlier this week, Gunderman was being transported by officers with the Ohio Adult Parole when the transport vehicle stopped to drop another inmate off at a treatment facility at the 8400 block of Broadway Avenue. Gunderman assaulted an officer and fled on foot.

Three people -- Deanna Taylor, 42, Alfred Dicenzi, 30, and Natasha Gunderman, 29 -- have been arrested in aiding Gunderman after he escaped from the transport officers.

Gunderman has a criminal history that includes narcotics, burglary and theft.
