CLEVELAND -- "We are utterly devastated."
New wave artist Gary Numan took to Twitter on Monday night following a tragic accident involving his tour bus in downtown Cleveland.
Hours before Numan was supposed to perform at the House of Blues, his tour bus struck and killed a 91-year-old man.
Police say the tour bus was making a right turn from the southbound lane of E. 9th Street into the westbound lane of Superior Avenue at the time of the incident.
Numan's performance was canceled as a result.
"At the moment all we can think about are the people affected by this terrible tragedy," Numan said. "To them we send all our love."
The driver of the bus has not yet been charged and the incident remains under investigation.
