Living in Northeast Ohio, seeing snow piled vehicles is considered normal.
However, the norm can also be dangerous.
Each year videos emerge of ice and snow falling from vehicles, smashing windshields, shattering glass.
In some states, “Ice Missile laws,” are implemented, requiring individuals to clean off their entire car, before hitting the road.
In seeing a vehicle with snow piled to the heavens is considered a normal.
In Ohio, the law requires you to remove snow from your windows, head and tail lights and license plate, but the roof, hood, and trunk are not included.
However, if ice and snow does fly off your vehicle and causes an accident or injures someone, you can be fined.
